We are thrilled to announce that Meral Iskir, Executive Vice President, has been elevated to the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows. The 2016 Jury of Fellows from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) elevated 149 AIA members from around the country to its prestigious College of Fellows.
The Fellowship program was developed to elevate those architects who have made a significant contribution to architecture and society and who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession. Election to fellowship not only recognizes the achievements of architects as individuals, but also their significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level.
“I can think of no more deserving architect than Meral for acceptance in to AIA’s College of Fellows,” said Sami Kirkdil, SK+I founder and President, “Meral’s guidance, not only to me but to the entire office, ensures that we have the tools to advance good design. As partners today, running a firm as equals, I continue to rely daily on Meral’s opinions and advice. She has profoundly advanced the profession of architecture during her 35 years of practice.”
