Behind the reception desk, a decorative wall doubles as the enclosure for a private seating area. This includes custom millwork wall-to-wall shelving with built in velvet benches. Connecting the two sides is an arched wood frame that imitates a statement ceiling seen in train stations.
The interior design for The Grayson was inspired by the building’s proximity to the train tracks—each space was thoughtfully designed to invoke the luxury of train travel. Much like Union Station in DC, the lobby includes luxe finishes: a large marble feature wall, beautiful stone floors with brass trim detail, and detailed metal panels.
This theme is carried throughout the building, with rich colors and high end materials in each amenity space, to include the lobby, gym, corridors, and club room.
